Integrated Roller System (Patented)
Having carried out a number of inspections and repairs for one of our biggest clients, Three System Solution engineers noticed that most of their sites had the same repetitive problems. Our design engineers turned to the drawing board and produced our very own patented Integrated Roller System. This system is now being integrated throughout this particular client's facilities and now forms part of Three System Solution’s innovative Product Range.
What prompted our TSS to the drawing board and to re-design?

sites were not working to their full capacity due to ‘down-time’ for repairs

As Three System Solutions is an innovative and solution based engineering company, we were itching to get to the drawing board!
How our patented Integrated Roller System works
Using an internal frame which is made to the conveyors specification means you only need one size of compression ring. The frame’s lifting arm (a one-off purchase) will be made to compensate for the size difference in the compression rings - ‘one size fits all’ (reducing stock and cost). By installing an internal frame to hold the roller directly underneath the belt and away from its edges, it will significantly reduce the problem of wrapping.
With an interchangeable roller you will no longer have to stock rollers at a cost. Keep a small stock of interchangeable parts only, as these rollers will last. This new design compression ring means no more sideway travel, quick and easy replacement and a significant reduction in wear and tear.

Polyurethane Self-tensioning Primary Scraper
Belt conveyors accumulate dirt on the return stand, as the conveyed material is constantly being scraped by other parts of the installation and therefor enters the conveyor line. To prevent the accumulation of dirt, or to reduce it to an acceptable level, each belt must be cleaned after the discharge point. This is achieved by installing a primary scraper.
Over time Three System Solutions engineers noted that many of their clients were experiencing the same problem with the need to constantly readjust the scraper’s tension to maintain functionality.
To resolve this problem and improve performance TSS designed a Self-Tensioning Primary Scraper.


How it works
TSS designed a polyurethane primer unit that works with a polyurethane twister. This can be found on the head drum of a conveyor at a 3–6 o’clock position and is tensioned by a polyurethane cylinder. The cylinder is fitted at the end of the head drum with tubing that runs through it and is housed by the main frame of the scraper itself.
The scraper is tensioned by twisting the twister unit back on itself, away from the scraper and then locking it into position, using tension bolts, which will lock it down to the bar. When the tension is released, it is directed towards the head drum, keeping the tension on the blade all the time enabling it to self-adjusting. As the blade wears it maintains its and shape and will wear with the head drum.
This Polyurethane Unit is hard wearing and can be easily installed on many different conveyors. This Polyurethane unit performs at its best on a smooth surface belt.
It can be made to any size up to 1800mm. For extremely messy and wet material a double tensioning unit can be added for that extra clean.
