OUR PROJECTS

Over the years we have delivered hundreds of small and large projects and services across the UK. As our company has grown the size and range of projects and services have also grown. Here we have summarised a few of our past projects which demonstrate the range of work we can deliver, whilst putting them into context. M+W Group, Surrey (MRF)

The M+W Group is an engineering and construction group with its origins in Germany and a history of more than 100 years. It is a global leader in the design, engineering and construction of high-tech facilities and major complex projects which are mainly related to energy.

We were more than happy to showcase our knowledge and experience when M+W Group approached us and asked us to inspect their problematic conveyor. Unfortunately, our report identified that the conveyor installed was ‘not fit for purpose for SRF waste’. We recommended several modifications and repairs that would see the conveyor up and running, with improved capacity and performance.

We were proud to hand over an improved conveyor which was accompanied with a full report. To read the full report click HERE.

Veolia Southwark (CMRF)

Veolia UK has become a leader in resource management, providing a comprehensive range of waste, water and energy management services designed to build the circular economy and protect the environment. Being approached by Veolia was a significant moment but working for them was even better, especially as they share our passion for protecting the environment.

Over the years we have continued to provide our services to Veolia, across the UK. For this project were tasked to design, fabricate, and install external guarding around a terminator. As an added safety measure, it was made with an interlocking system.

Veolia Rainham (CMRF)

At Veolia UK in Rainham we were approached to act as Principal Contractor for a project that involved the complex removal of a worn trommel (located at the top of the building 50ft high) and replace it with a new one. This project was not a simple one, but one we could demonstrate our experience and knowledge in engineering but also in the planning, coordination, and management of projects.

Because we can provide a complete service of design, fabrication and installation, additional works needed to complete the task were done in-house i.e., electrical decommissioning and commissioning, and the fabrication of the trommel support frame.

Suspending a 16 tonne trommel in the air at 50ft was breath-taking and a challenge we could not refuse.

Bakers Waste, Surrey, UK

Bakers Waste is Leicester and Northampton's leading independent waste management, commercial waste collection and mixed waste recycling company. The business manages everything from food waste to confidential shredding and has a staff compliment of over 100 people.

We were brought in to design a Polyurethane Self-tensioning Primary Scraper. Belt conveyors accumulate dirt on the return stand, as the conveyed material is constantly being scraped by other parts of the installation and therefor enters the conveyor line.
To prevent the accumulation of dirt, or to reduce it to an acceptable level, each belt must be cleaned after the discharge point. This is achieved by installing a primary scraper. Over time Three System Solutions engineers noted that many of their clients were experiencing the same problem with the need to constantly readjust the scraper’s tension to maintain functionality. To resolve this problem and improve performance TSS designed a ‘self-tensioning primary scraper’.

This Polyurethane Unit performs at its best on a smooth surface belt but can be installed on many different conveyors. It is hard wearing and can be made in any size up 1800mm. For extremely messy and wet material a double tensioning unit can be added for that extra clean.
